Little Deaths

"Little Deaths"
It's a sick society ruled by hypocrites
The death of one is a tragedy, millions is just a statistic
Keep it beneath the floorboards
Keep it between the walls
And so it goes...
No one really gives a fuck
Maybe this world is someone else's hell
We don't care, as long as it's someone else
A hundred, a thousand a million
It doesn't even matter
Little lives, little deaths
One day we'll be the only ones left
Until then everyone will suffer
A brutal indifference
And the purest evils are assumed, never expressed
So the sores of the people are never seen, never addressed
Keep it beneath the floorboards
Keep it between the walls
And so it goes...
No one really gives a fuck
Maybe this world is someone else's hell
We don't care, as long as it's someone else
A hundred, a thousand a million
It doesn't even matter
Little lives, little deaths
One day we'll be the only ones left
Until then everyone will suffer
A brutal indifference
It's not happening here so it's not happening anywhere
And it's not one of us so we don't fucking care
It's not happening here so it's not happening anywhere
And it's not you so you don't fucking care
Land of the free home of the mass graves
Liberty or 3/5ths for each slave
Legalized, how many still in prison?
You're for life, seem to love dead women
The real horror, never seen
The first 9/11 in '73
Saw a sign on a gala dress
Missed a disappearing Bangladesh
Half a million kids, how did they deserve it?
They dismissively said it was worth it

"When"
In the largest open air prison in the world
Gaza Palestine, there’s a little girl
Her name is Nadeen, she’s only 10
And she lives in the rubble like her family and friends
“We're just dying.” she said, airstrikes on civilians
In her densely populated home of 2 million
No clean water, food, electricity or medication
Under the iron fist of an illegal occupation
Conditions most don't even want to believe
It keeps getting worse, they can never leave
And what did they do wrong? What crime did they commit?
This brutal apartheid, they were born into it
But that’s all complicated, that’s what we were taught
I submit to you my friend, no the fuck it’s not
What’s so complicated about dropping bombing little kids?
And watching white phosphorus liquify their skin?
Taking out hospitals, houses refugee camps, schools & shelters, whatever bombs could reach
Shireen Abu Akleh, the USS Liberty, Rachel Corrie, shooting 4 kids for playing ball on the beach
Now 5 million refugees no one will let in
A stack of condemnations from the UN
And every international humanitarian NGO
But it still continues because of the US veto
For 50 some years a just resolution denied
The whole world votes in favor, the US on the other side
While we fund the occupation 4 billion a year
But the truth is, that most of it has to be spent here
On weapons, that’s what’s really going on
A military base, a live arms show, a grift
A con, it's intertwined with our prison complex
They train our shitbag cops, and it’s all blank checks
Lining a regional nuclear superpower’s pockets
That equates one-ton bombs with bottle rockets
Her name is Nadeen, she’s only 10
Ask yourself, if not now, then when?

"Burn This Motherfucker To The Ground"
Start the fire
Corruption breeds the scarred hands stacking up the pyre
No mercy exists in their minds now
Only fire
Burn this motherfucker to the ground and nothing will be lost
Robbed of the language to articulate the war
The proletariat now speaks, but without words
Burn this motherfucker to the ground and nothing will be lost
Burn it
